Dry mortar equipment to add some additives to help the material to achieve uniform mixing
When using dry mortar equipment, add some additives to help the material to achieve uniform mixing. Which additives are usually used when using?
One is barite. The technical requirements for this additive are purity > 95%, fineness 4900 mesh, and a typical addition of 5-15%. Its main function is to hydrate calcium aluminate. Crystalline transformation can be used to prevent late strength degradation of calcium aluminates and is used in conjunction with CaCO3 and silica fume to increase the strength of aluminate cements and improve late strength stability.
Next is sodium dihydrogen phosphate, a phosphorus compound that impedes the rate of hydration and hardening of the cement to achieve retarding properties and can be used for cement inhibition such as permeable crystalline waterproof polyacrylic acid. The technology used requires a white powder of type S. The amount added is generally 0.05-0.15%, the main role is to thicken, disperse, suspend and stabilise, etc. It can be used in putty, thickening of two-component putties putty, emulsions, etc.
Another type is sodium fluorosilicate. The main function of this additive is an air-entraining agent for acid-resistant cements: sodium sulphonate and sodium sulphate, which introduce micro-bubbles in the mortar by physical action, reducing the density of the mortar and allowing better construction. The proportion used is 0.01% - 0.06%.
Dry mortar equipment is slow to feed. We can start by considering whether the belt is loose. If it is loose, it can cause slippage and affect the feeding speed. It could also be because the machine bearings are increasing into powder and the bearings underneath can easily enter the powder, increasing friction and affecting efficiency, or foreign objects could enter and easily clog the dry mortar equipment, affecting loading.
For these common reasons, we recommend that you add lubricant promptly during the use of your dry mortar equipment and that you check it regularly to ensure smoothness. Also, if not loading newly purchased equipment, we need to check the direction of rotation of the motor. If this is because of the direction, please adjust it. Often the installation is not correct and is not feeding properly.
