Ready-mixed mortar equipment is divided into two categories of wet-mixed mortar and dry-mixed mortar equipment. Wet-mix mortar: wet-mix masonry mortar, wet-mix plastering mortar, wet-mix ground mortar, wet-mix waterproof mortar. Dry-mix mortar: common dry-mix mortar: dry-mix masonry mortar, dry-mix plastering mortar, dry-mix floor mortar, dry-mix general waterproofing mortar.
Wet-mix mortar is a wet mix of all components, including water, which can be used directly at the construction site, but needs to be used before the mortar sets and stored for no more than 24h; dry-mix mortar is a dry mix of dry materials, supplied in bulk or bagged form, which needs to be mixed with water or matching liquid at the construction site. Dry mortar has a long storage period, usually 3 months or 6 months.
Generally ready-mixed mortar is a mixture of cement, sand and all the admixtures and adulterants in a certain proportion, which is then mixed in a centralised manner and transported by special equipment. Dry mortar is a multi-component granular or powdered mixture. Wet-mix mortar is a ready-mixed mortar that has been mixed with a specified proportion of water.
Composition differences
Dry mortar: Dry mortar is a mixture of dry sieved aggregates with cement and various components determined by performance, mixed in a certain proportion in the production plant, and mixed with water or matching liquid in a specified proportion at the place of use. Wet mortar: Wet mortar is a mortar mix of cementitious materials, fine aggregates, admixtures and water, as well as various components determined according to their performance, in a certain proportion, which is measured and mixed at the mixing plant, transported to the place of use in a mixing truck, stored in a special container, and used within a specified time.
Dry mortar: dry mortar for masonry, dry mortar for internal walls, dry mortar for external walls, dry mortar for floor, ground and roofing, levelling mortar. Wet-mix mortar: There are four varieties of wet-mix mortar, namely: wet-mix masonry mortar, wet-mix plastering mortar, wet-mix floor mortar and wet-mix waterproofing mortar. The scope of use is different dry-mix mortar: for underground masonry basements, pools and other engineering waterproof layer and waterproof concrete structure of the additional waterproof layer, a rigid waterproofing construction process under wet conditions. Wet-mix mortar: wet-mix mortar can be used directly after transport to the site without processing, but the mortar is stored in closed containers; it is mainly used for masonry, bonding the blocks into a whole.
